HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Sorry it has been so long since I wrote, every time I started to update this page something came up! Also, it probably seems funny to write this, but I have been wondering what new news we have! Life is going here-sometimes a mile a minute, sometimes a day feels like a million years. Those of you who have moved to a new place-city, state or country, know what I mean. Some days are exciting-observing the people, the culture and the language. And some days, I don't feel like learning one more new thing!! Moving here has definitely stretched us. Especially with a 1 1/2 year old, who is bursting with unlimited amounts of energy. As I write, Ezra is on the desk trying to type on the computer, while getting the camera and CDs out of the drawer!
We had a great Thanksgiving, spending it with our team. We cooked chickens (next best thing to turkey) and even had pumpkin pie courteousy of a team member who had one of those cans from the U.S. And we are now, like most people, anticipating Christmas. We are once again in the land that doesn't celebrate Christmas. No commercials reminding us to SPEND SPEND SPEND, no Christmas lights appearing on our neighbor's houses. No Santa at the store, or special candlelight services. It is an interesting time of year to be in this part of the world. Although I have decorated our house, with a small plastic Christmas tree and some other decorations, it seems so small in comparison to what I am used to. Even a nativity set, which we are so used to seeing, becomes something unique here. And it is with these kind of decorations that we can remember the true meaning of Christmas and share it with others.
We wish you a happy holidays! This is a picture of Jeremy & Ezra with the "tea guy" in Morocco.
